How to Win At Marketing

If you want to create better marketing grow your business and attract more and a higher quality client and customer then you're going to want to stick with me because in this Blog i'm going to show you the three levels of marketing strategy effectiveness and why you want to upgrade you marketing to level 3 as quickly as possible get this right and you become irresistible to your potential clients and customers but get it wrong or ignore it all together and well the best that you can hope for is pretty much just average results which statistically speaking aren't really that good.

I want better for you so let me show you how it's done the reason that most marketing fails is

When i first got started my sole goal and sole mission in life was to try to grow an audience because that's what i was told you had to do and then try to give as much value as much advice as much helpful content as i possibly could and never never ask for anything in return after all that would be selling out and needy and evil but the result of all of this as you can probably well imagine that occurs when a business well doesn't really offer anything for sale is pretty much a complete disaster of a company fortunately i learned that lesson very quickly and managed to pivot and start making better and more strategic marketing and business growth decisions anyway let me tell you a story i'm not really a car guy at least not when you compare me to actual car guys you know the kind of guys that know about every single make and model and detail behind every single car out there.

They read the car blogs subscribe to the car magazines and have or aspire to own one of their dream cars which is probably some kind of fancy supercar or old sort of historic heritage style model that said i do like cars i had a porsche once is it pronounced porsche but i sold it and bought a minivan cause dad life i also find the styling and stories behind the cars just unbelievably fascinating for example I got totally hooked on formula one racing after watching a netflix documentary on formula one racing which actually had more to do with the story and the characters behind it but there's a valuable lesson there i'll save for another day anyway i was watching an old episode of a show called the grand tour which is a british sort of travel style car show anyway surprisingly entertaining and in this episode one of the hosts of the show drove a supercar right off the road I think it was a rimac for those of you that are interested and the car obviously burst into flames because that's what happens apparently when you crash cars off the road the host fortunately was fine the car was not now the story about a car that crashes off a road and bursts into flames well that's not really that new or exciting i mean that's kind of what we expect to happen when cars crash off a road what is interesting however is that this car continued to recatch fire for five days in a row basically the firefighters would put it out and then it would catch fire again and then they'd put it out and then they'd catch fire again they put it out it'd catch fire again more putting it out more fire anyway you get the picture now again i'm no car guy but the reason this kept happening at least what they've told me is that because the car had a lithium ion battery and essentially the cells started to sort of spill over into the next one so one would overheat and trigger the next one and trigger the next one and on and on it went known as a thermal runaway long story short.

Once the process started there was no stopping it and that's what you want for your marketing no not to start lighting cars on fire but to start lighting the hearts and minds and souls of your clients and customers on fire metaphorically of course essentially creating and designing and then presenting your marketing in a way where it builds on each other essentially getting stronger every single day each message building on the last one to guide them to lead them and to serve them what this leads to is a kind of psychological thermal runaway effect where the desire in their minds essentially grows and grows and gets stronger and stronger where the inevitable and only logical conclusion is for them to inevitably go and purchase or basically buy from your business your product your offer or whatever it is that you're selling now is this easy to do no it's not but is it possible absolutely and the first step to getting this right is to understand the three different levels of marketing strategy effectiveness so let me break those down for you now one by one and the first level is all about attention getting attention is of course incredibly important after all nobody can buy from you if they don't know that you exist but attention alone is incomplete after all getting someone to pay attention to you is actually pretty easy you just need to yell or scream or make a lot of noise or do some kind of weird dance in the middle of the street but of course in the real world there is such a thing as good attention and bad attention or more accurately in a marketing sense targeted attention which is the attention of your ideal target market and untargeted attention which would be attention from everybody and anybody who are basically unlikely to buy your stuff the point is is that pretty much anybody can get attention and yet this is where most people stop and that's a shame because yes getting attention will help to grow your business but there's still so much more you can do and that's why you're going to take it a step further by upgrading your marketing to level 2 which is all about persuasion

Persuasion in marketing is what you do this part's important so we're going to make sure to come back to it again in just a second persuasion is all about using all of the available tools and tactics and tricks and hacks and communication strategies and everything available in marketing at your disposal to the best of your ability in order to positively convince and communicate and basically persuade someone that you're the best one for the job and that your solution is the best to help solve their problem just like with getting attention persuasion is incredibly important and to do it right you're going to need all of those available tools i just mentioned including all of the communication strategies and positioning strategies and tools and tricks and hacks and everything involved the big things here when it comes to effectively communicating and persuading someone is making sure that you've got the basics lined up like who's your ideal target market and getting crystal clear on everything around them not just their basic details and demographics like their age or gender income or occupation but digging way deeper into their psychographic details like what are their miseries their pains their problems their fears their frustrations as well as what are their miracles.

All of their dreams and goals and desires and wants and then taking everything you know about your ideal target market and lining it up against your business and against your offer and against your value proposition so you can essentially connect the dots and help them bridge the gap from where they are right now to where they want to be using your business and your offer as the solution do this and you'll have successfully achieved level 2 marketing success and you'll be able to watch your business start to grow right before your eyes but of course if you really want to separate yourself from the sea of competition around you you're going to want to upgrade it one step further to level 3 marketing which is all about influence if persuasion is about what you do then influence is about who you are essentially becoming so trusted so much of an authority and such an expert in your field that people buy from you just because well it's you and you're pretty special achieving level three marketing success and really hitting that next level of influence is where things really take off plus even though it's going to take more work to hit this level by the time you're here your marketing and your level of persuasion required actually becomes a whole lot less and a whole lot easier let me explain basically when you're first getting started in business or with your marketing you really need to pull out all the stops in order to get someone to pay attention make a convincing and compelling argument and get them to care but over time as your influence grows as you become more well-known and more trusted and more respected as.

An expert and as an authority in your field well you don't need to spend as much time crafting and creating a really compelling persuasive argument really you don't need to try to sell people as hard at all you just kind of need to guide them in the right direction and then they'll buy just because you said it was the right thing to do now it's important to know that this level of influence this level of marketing strategy and effectiveness well it doesn't happen overnight it takes time it takes skills and experience and knowledge and above all it takes consistently putting the needs of your clients and your customers in your market before yours pretty much all the time this is important because one of the key aspects if not the core element of achieving level 3 marketing strategy success which is influence is trust your market needs to trust that you know what you're doing they need to trust that you're looking out for their best interest and for everyone that you serve and they need to trust that what you're saying or what you're offering or what you're promoting again is in their best interest and you're not just trying to peddle something just to make a quick buck and again like all things in marketing and business and even life well it's not easy but it is doable and it's definitely worth it if you have a service based business this becomes even more important and to really make sure that you've got all of your marketing built on solid and proven marketing fundamentals so if you have a service based business the next thing you're going to want to do is check out the Blog i have linked up right here on marketing strategies for service based businesses so make .

Sure to check that out now and i'll see in the next episode you see when it comes to service based marketing it's literally all about the end result that you provide that is essentially the entire thing that you should be trying to sell and communicate

Thank You so much for being here.
