But before we dive into things too deep, I first want to take a second to tell you about this video sponsor. let's talk social media marketing have to talk social media marketing, because it's hard Nate impossible to talk about digital marketing without acknowledging the power impact and pervasiveness of social media, just like digital marketing is everywhere. Social media is everywhere by watching this video right now. Well, you're using it. And so are your clients and customers. Well, maybe they're not watching this video unless they're really in a marketing. But you get the point. The thing with social media, though, is that there are a whole lot of options. You've got your Facebook, your Instagram, your YouTube and your LinkedIn, of course, but you've also got Twitter and Pinterest and Tick-Tock and Snapchat and twitch and Cora and Reddit and many, many more. So what do you do? Well, I'll tell you what not to do, and that's to try to be everywhere and do everything, because that my friend, is a recipe for disaster and a burnout of Epic Proportions. Rather, what you need to do is get crystal clear on exactly who it is that you want to reach, and then find the one main Channel where they spend most of their time and then go there pretty much ignoring everything else. Once you've got that one main Channel dialed in. Well, then you can start looking at expanding, but focus on one solid social media presence first.

All right, next up, paid advertising, also known as paid ads, or sometimes even PPC, which stands for pay-per-click. The thing with paid ads is that there are regular social media, but you get to pay for them. Now, I'm just kidding me, they're completely different. Really. You see the thing with paid ads like Facebook ads, Instagram ads and YouTube ads is that you have an incredible level of control over who sees what and went, which means if your offer is dialed in, and you know exactly who it is you're trying to get in front of, and what kind of compelling message to create, to get them to take action? Well, then paid advertising is a marketer's dream. But if you're missing even one of these important pieces, either you have an offer that kind of lacks that punch or a funnel that's full of friction or a message that confuses or even annoys people. Then you'd be better off just letting your money on fire. So yes, ads when they were great, but they're also not a Magic Bullet. Okay, next important topic SEO, also known as search engine optimization, which is all about wait for it, optimizing your content to appear higher on the search engines. This is important if you've got a business that people are actively searching for as it gives you an opportunity to show up right in front of them at that exact moment in time, where they're at police searching for a solution, a solution to a problem, a problem that they have and want a solution for a solution that you have. This is getting confusing.

The point is, if people are looking for your help, you want to do everything you can to show up in front of them so they can find you. Now, when it comes to SEO, the big player is obviously Google. But what a lot of people don't know is that YouTube is the world's second largest search engine, and is also conveniently owned by Google. So many of the same SEO strategies that work on Google will it work on YouTube too? To now? Seo isn't easy or fast, but it can be effective, especially if someone is searching for the kind of thing you offer. Speaking of effective, there is perhaps no better, no more effective, and yet also underappreciated marketing strategy available to you today, then email marketing. Here's the deal email marketing works. And it works really, really well if you do it right.

This is because we as a society are addicted to checking our email. It's with us all the time, and we check it and a pretty unhealthy amount of times each and every day, which means you can reach customers and clients pretty much all the time on a medium they know and feel comfortable with and to top it all off, unlike building up a social media following, which is subject to the social media networks and their rules and their algorithms. Well, an email list is yours. It's a known darkening asset that as long as you treat it right will serve you well for months, and maybe even years to come. Of course, the thing that ties all of these together, whether we're talking about social media paid ads, SEO or email, is the fact that it's all content marketing. Anything you do, you write or say, or record whatever it's all content. And in the world of content marketing well, content is still king queen, and everything in between.
