Hey everyone, welcome to the my Blog. in this blog, I'm going to share three strategies that help me get to my first million dollars. Now there's a couple of things that we need to talk about before we jump into this. And first of all, I have nothing to sell you here. So don't worry, you're not going to get like 80 percent of the way through the Blog, and then realize that I'm just pitching you something like 2000 dollar mentorship or something. There's none of that. I have nothing to sell you. There's no sponsors on this video. I genuinely just enjoy making this content. So if you're new here, make sure you subscribe the channel. It would certainly make my day. So let's go ahead. Let's jump into this. All right. So I guess I don't have like a Lamborghini next to me to like establish some type of credibility, or I'm not in a mansion right now. So you're kind of just gonna have to trust me on this that I've gotten past that point of the million dollar Mark. So, a little bit of blind trust going into it, but I think it's going to be worth your time. So the first point, and the first strategy that I really realized and I started use was leveraging social media to increase my network.
All right. So to understand this, we need to dial it back to when I had just graduated high school. I was 17 years old. And I specifically remember reaching out to business people reaching out to investors. And so many of them would not respond to me. I would try to DM them. I would email them, try to like, have them Mentor me in some way, so that I could learn how to increase my wealth, because I was selling watermelons for as a piece. And I was selling like tomato plants for, I think 25 cents a piece at the local farmers market with my brother. So I was trying to figure out how to scale, and I'll try to figure out how to build businesses as I was going into college. And so then I came to this realization. This was very early 2017 that if I increase my network, if I maybe create some type of presence online, it will bring more business opportunities to me as a whole. And so that's the primary reason why I started this YouTube channel. Now, sure, I make some money off of AD revenue or something. But the primary reason why I started this Channel on YouTube was so that I could increase my network so that I could kind of create a name for myself in a way, so that I don't have to introduce myself to as many people when I'm doing something. So for an example of this, just a couple of weeks ago, and I don't want this to sound like I'm bragging in any way. That's like my biggest fear. So just a couple of weeks ago, though, I was at some conferences, and it kind of blew my mind how many people I didn't actually have to I introduced myself to because they already knew me, because they've seen my videos on YouTube at some point. And so this ends up opening a lot of opportunities and a lot of doors for you, for business, for Investments. And it's just something that I thinkis really, really valuable.
So regardless of what type of business you're trying to operate, or any type of investment you're trying to get into just kind of building an I guess a name for yourself, and kind of becoming known among people is generally just beneficial All Around by increasing your network. And I always heard that quote, I remember in high school, people would say your network is your net worth. And I would kind of blow it off until I realized that one day, when I tried to reach out to business people and they wouldn't respond to me, and they didn't respond because they didn't know who I was. So I think it was at that point. When I was in high school. I said, I want to make sure that I don't have to introduce myself, too many people that they already know who I am, and maybe trust me in some way, and therefore they can present more opportunities to me. So, just that alone, I mean, I've had so many people come to me where we've become friends, and we've started businesses together because they found me through YouTube or I've invested into their companies, and they've succeeded. And so just from that alone, it helped me get far past that million-dollar Mark just from those networking opportunities. So that's something that I would certainly recommend to anyone, regardless of any type of business that you are running or launching. Okay. So now, the second piece of advice for the second strategy, I think I learned it's actually somewhat similar to the first one yet. Still pretty different. And that's by understanding that in business or investing, it's really not a zero-sum game, meaning that somebody doesn't have to lose in order for you to win in business. And I think once you understand this, you can really expand quite a bit. And very, very quickly. So I remember when I first started with some of my businesses, it was it was lawn care, and I was starting with firewood. And I kind of had some other people in my school who were also competing for those jobs.
They were trying to get those those Lawn Care clients and trying to get those firewood clients. And so we kind of at first, were trying to like black each other off and like beat each other out and undercut each other and make sure that our prices were lower. And then I came to the realization. One day I probably read some business book when I came to this realization that it's not a zero-sum game. And then if you work together, in some cases, both people can end up making more money. You know, we do this YouTube, a lot of the YouTubers or influencers. They all talk to each other. They help each other out, they say, Hey, you know, do you think this thumbnail is good? You think this video topic is good? And we all help each other out, because we understand, or most of us understand that business is not a zero-sum game. Everybody can win, Everybody Eats. And I think that's a really great thing to understand. You know, let's take an example. Let's say you have an e-commerce business, and you're selling a very Niche product. You see one other person selling that product you're trying to compete with them. What if one day you just call them up and say, Hey, you know, I know we have very similar businesses. Why don't we work together? Why don't we partner and and make more money as a whole without, you know, creating a monopoly? Of course. And it's just something that I think a lot of people Overlook. So go ahead. Think about that a bit. Think about partnering with other people over all that kind of ties in, with the first point, that networking and talking with more people and collaborating with more people and ends up making you a lot more money. Trust me, alright. And if you don't believe me on that point, just look in nature. I mean, look at the coyote and the address. These are two totally different animals, and you would think that they would not get along, you would think, if anything, the coyote would probably eat the badger something. But it turns out that in nature, in many cases, the coyote and the badger will come together, and they'll actually work together to end up getting their prey and end up getting their food. So it's a really fascinating thing to see that this isn't just what humans it's with with in nature as well.
There's a lot of cases where two different animals will work together, and they'll both end up benefiting, rather than just doing their own separate thing. So think about that for a minute before we go on to the next Point. Okay. Now, the third point that I want to bring up here, and the third strategy that I used was understanding the three different levels within any business, and realizing that if you want to scale a business, you're probably going to hit this bottleneck, and its really, really detrimental to any business. And so that's why I think I got this from the e-myth. It's a really good book. I would highly recommend it. But there are three basic levels of people in any business. So we have the technician. We have the manager, and then we have the entrepreneur, or the business owner / Visionary. So each one of these levels is crucial to understand. If you want to scale your business, especially past a million dollars. Now, you might be able to get to the million dollar Mark by doing all three of these different jobs, right? So the technician is the person who's doing like the groundwork, right? You might be doing customer service, fulfilling product orders, you know, running the ads, just doing like all the stuff that needs to be done in a business. This could be the person working in the factory. This could be the engineer. This could be the doctor. It's the person who's actually doing the work, getting it done. Then we in the middle, we have the manager, the manager. Obviously, they're dealing with the technician. They're telling them what to do, but they're also listening to the higher up. And they're trying to kind of communicate that being a manager is not very fun. If you're a manager, you probably know I'm talking about it can be pretty stressful. And then at the top, we have the entrepreneur / business owner. And this is the person who is likely going to be deciding.
Hey, what do we take this company in the future? We increase profitability. How do we create new products and make sure that we end up taking more market share? So the problem here that a lot of people face in business is that they try to do all three, and you can do it at first for your first hundred thousand dollars, or maybe your first million dollars. But if you want to scale past that, you're gonna end up hitting bottlenecks where you're trying to do all the jobs, and it just doesn't work, and you end up spending all of your time doing it, and you end up burning out in business. And so this is what happened to me back in 2019. I was trying to do the technical work, right? I was trying to fulfill products. I was trying to, you know, me even make this, you know, YouTube videos for this channel. I'll try to do everything myself and launch other channels and everything else. And it was just really, really hectic. So what I started doing is I said, I have to Outsource the technical work. I have to Outsource the managerial work so that I can focus all of my time on just thinking where to take the business next and, you know, become more profitable, make more money and grow new businesses, launch new businesses. I want to spend all my time doing that job at the top. I want to do all my time being the entrepreneur, the business owner, not the person who's doing the actual work and just trying to separate those two really difficult. But it's something that you need to do if you want to get past that million-dollar Mark. You know, if you want to scale past two, three, four million dollars, you need to understand those three layers of business, and you need to start Outsourcing a lot of that work, including the manager work. So yeah, it's a big process. It's a big hurdle, but it's a next one that you'll find in business if you are quickly approaching that million dollar mark.
